FVRL Foundation Presented with $1,000 Donation at Grand Opening of The Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits
The Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation was presented with a $1,000 donation for the District's Summer Reading Program from the brand new Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits Restaurant. This represents half of the revenues from sales of the restaurant's signature drink, The Bucket, and 10% of other drink sales made during a series of test meals served to about 800 people over the weekend. The Children's and Teen Summer Reading Program provides prizes to children during the summer for every 10 hours they read. Brad Loucks, owner, presented the check to representatives from the Library Foundation on Monday, July 28.
Rick Smithrud, Executive Director of the Library Foundation, said “The Foundation is deeply grateful to The Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits for being such wonderful community partners and for this thoughtful contribution to help support the library district's Summer Reading Program.”
