WelcomeFort Vancouver Regional Library District (FVRL) is funded like all other public library systems in the state of Washington — mainly through property taxes. But tax limitations, growth in both population and library use, and rising costs have made it harder for FVRL to provide the quality services you have come to expect. That’s where the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation (FVRL Foundation) steps in. This non-profit organization was created in 1990 to make the difference between a library that is “just getting by” and a “library that excels.” To do that, FVRL Foundation raises funds for services and programs not covered by the library’s operating budget. The foundation makes possible exciting region-wide programs and projects for library patrons as well as support for local Friends of the Library groups and library volunteers. |
